The Sewcial Circle is all about inspiring a new generation of designers. Launched by crafty guru Katie Farrell in 2013, The Sewcial Circle has been running kids sewing and craft parties, hen-dos, family-friendly workshops and press events all over London, from dining room tables in the suburbs to arts centres like The Southbank Centre!
Katie started sewing as a little girl, making tiny clothes for little fairies (you have to start small, right?). Always with a craft project on the go, it wasn’t until university that she really started to get into dressmaking at art school. What started as having a few private sewing students on the side soon grew to running after-school classes in SW London to running parties and providing a crafty element to press events and corporate parties. Sewcial Circle workshops aim to inspire people of all ages to get creative, learn new skills and take home something unique.
Katie runs sewing parties either at your home or at a London venue of your choice for kids ages 7 and up. She has dozens of projects to choose from and brings along all the materials and tools needed to complete the project. It’s not just for kids either; her adult workshops are very popular as hen-do activities, mum’s evenings and crafty baby showers too.
