    Caroline Ellis

Caroline started making clay jewellery 25 years ago for her classmates. Since then she has taught herself more advanced modelling techniques, mostly from books. Her jewellery is influenced by the Japanese kawaii style and she likes to copy the colour and texture of food as accurately as possible. This can involve painstakingly building the clay up in layers, curing each one before adding another layer.

As well as selling her handmade jewellery online, Caroline sells kits for children to make their own versions and she also runs workshops in Brighton at the Fairy Tale Fair, and has exhibited at the Crypt Gallery in Seaford and the Hop Gallery in Lewes (both in Sussex).

Caroline’s kits are available from www.letterboxkits.com and her unique jewellery can be found on www.tinytreatboutique.co.uk.
