    Named of one the most influential crafters in the UK by Mollie Makes magazine, Momtaz has worked as a designer/maker and was Editor of the UK’s oldest craft magazine, Popular Crafts. She has written several crafts books, contributed projects to numerous publications, edited a craftzine and currently runs London’s Craft Night The Make Escape which launched in May 2012. Since then over 3000 people have tried crafts at the voluntary run night, which attracts adults of all ages, is held at The Hackney Attic, in London and is free entry for all.

    Momtaz offers Crafts Consultancy services and has worked on several high profile projects including Hands On Craft in association with the Voluntary Arts Trust. Momtaz also runs craft workshops and private craft parties for children and adults. She also appeared on the BBC 2 craft series Mastercrafts presented by Monty Don, where she studied an apprenticeship in weaving. She runs the website www.CraftandTravel.com, a resource that showcases craft techniques from around the world.
