Tracy Smallacombe was previously a celebrity publicist and event organiser. Her arts background started with a Macrame kit she was given when quite young by her ‘crafty’ grandmother and includes teaching arts & crafts at summer camp to studying History of Art & Architecture. She has been teaching a small group of underprivileged children after school which is subsidised from very generous donations from her local Freecycle group in Richmond-Upon-Thames. Tracy rediscovered her love of crafting while recovering from a serious accident – as she was unable to walk for quite some time, she took up quilting to stave off boredom and it snowballed from there. She combines her love of craft with her hatred of waste and tries to use as much previously loved material as possible.
