• Make of the month

A flower decoration made from… a tea towel!

    You will need:

    • Material of choice (we used a Jane Asher tea towel from Poundland!)
    • Glue
    • Buttons
    • Scissors

    How to make it

    Step 1
Cut a circle shape from your material
    Step 2
Cut a strip (we used the length of the tea towel) and fold it over. Glue or sew it together as shown leaving one edge ‘puffy’.
    Step 3
Snip into the strip to create the flower petals.
    Step 4
Using glue or a sewing machine attached the strip to your circle base, starting on the outside edge and working in towards the middle.
    Step 5
Finish with a button! We put a brooch fastening on the back of one, making a rather fetching piece of jewellery, and attached a chop stick to another flower to make a table decoration.
