    Shape Punch Festive Bauble

    BaubleMain
    You will need:

    • A paper punch – we used a Fiskars Intricate Shape Punch
    • PVA glue
    • A polystyrene ball
    • A length of ribbon
    • Old sheet music or book pages
    • Pins
    • Sequins (See our video for the Sea Queens version!)

    How to make it

    Step 1
Use the paper punch to make your flower shapes (Fig 1 & 2)

    Step 2
Cut the flowers into the middle (Fig 3) then bend them into cones and glue so they hold their ‘pixie hat’ shape! (Fig 4)

    Step 3
Take your polystyrene ball and pin your ribbon onto it. Use a couple of pins to make the ribbon secure (Fig 5)

    Step 4
Now take a pin and thread a sequin onto it. Push it through the paper cone and then push it firmly into the polystyrene ball (Fig 6). Keep going until the whole of the ball is covered.

Your work of art is now complete!

    Top Tip

Use your Intricate Shape Punch to make a festive candle holder. We wrapped some garden string around a jam jar, then stuck the flower shapes on top. We then used red and green buttons for a finishing festive touch. And the green flowers you can see were punched out of ivy leaves!
